The Disney Dream’s Avacado-Citrus Salad: The Make-It Yourself Recipe

By Melissa L.

Summer is a great time to fix a fabulous salad. The Disney Insider newsletter from some time ago contained a great summer salad sampler, and that included this yummy salad and dressing recipe. Get ready for the Avocado-Citrus Salad Royal Palace, from the Disney Dream.

Citrus Dressing Recipe

This will serve four.

Combine orange and lime juices in a medium bowl. Slowly drizzle in oil, salt and pepper, whisking vigorously until combined. If you are making this in advance, re-whisk before serving.

1. Cut the peel, including the white pith, from the oranges with a small knife. Cut segments free from membranes, setting the segments aside and discarding membranes.

2. Cut avocados into 3/4-inch-thick slices.

3. Divide mixed greens among 4 salad bowls. Top with 5 avocado slices and 5 to 8 orange segments; drizzle lightly with dressing. Serve immediately. I added grape tomatoes and crumbled feta to mine before serving.
