The Disney Princess: Where in the Disney World Can You Meet Snow White?

Snow White Movie, Snow White princess, Disney Princess, Snow White and the Huntsman

By Hiromi.

It is the glorious spring season here in Canada, and every time I hear the loveliest birds sing, it often reminds me of Snow White. We will see a huge resurgence this summer of this timid Princess who has gained new popularity, appearing in human form in such blockbuster movies as Mirror Mirror, starring Julia Roberts and Lily Collins, who is singer Phil Collins’ daughter, and the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman due in movie theaters this Friday. The film will star the beautiful yet villainess Queen played by Charlize Theron, and Snow White will be played by Kristen Stewart, who you will remember played Bella in Twilight.  Instead of swinging his hammer in the Avengers, Chris Hemsworth will be using, or rather not be using, his axe.

Yet when we first think of Snow White, we usually picture the famous and first Disney Princess in cartoon form. The image of the endearingly sweet, lily-white complexioned girl, dark-as-night hair, and a voice that would mirror any pitch from the sweetest bird comes to mind. She charms us with her iconic multi-colored dress, blue on top, puffed sleeves with red ribbon accents as well as a red ribbon to adorn her raven hair, and the most gorgeous canary yellow skirt that swings and glides as graceful as the lovely songbird herself.  Almost a modern day “Eve” if you will, she too faced the temptation of the apple, but not for knowledge,  for love was her alomst-demise, until a handsome prince (what is his name anyway?), gives her true love’s first kiss and she is awakened.

The first-ever animated feature of the Walt Disney Company opened in 1937 to rave reviews. It is aptly titled, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” as the Dwarfs are also the protagonists of this Disney tale. The song “Hi Ho” is probably the most widely known song about hard work ethic ever to be created.

So where do you go to meet Snow White and her friends the Seven Dwarfs (Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sleepy  Happy, Sneezy and Dopey) at Walt Disney World?

You can go to Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom, formerly known as Town Square Exposition Hall, to the Princess Meet and Greet to see Snow White, and several other princesses as well.

The Dwarfs are rare to see at WDW, however if you go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party during the end of September through to the first couple days of November, Snow White and all Seven of the Dwarfs are available to meet and greet. This event requires an extra ticket at the Magic Kingdom. Pick up a schedule of events and times, and LINE UP EARLY for meeting these characters all together, because this event is very popular. During this party you can also meet the EVIL Queen in all her vain glory!

Snow White, Princess Snow White, Snow While Evil Queen, Disney Princess

Throughout the year, you may be able to meet Snow White at Cinderella’s Royal Table, in the Magic Kingdom. You may also meet her at Akershus Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot. Snow White is usually one of the Princesses to be at both dining locations. Just make sure you make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR’s) for these two restaurants (we recommend at least 3 – 6 months in advanced). Snow White is also available to meet at the Epcot theme park in the Germany Pavilion.  Pick up a Character Greeting guide when you arrive at Epcot, or ask guest services or a friendly Cast Member. You can also view Snow White with her  Prince in the various parades and shows around Walt Disney World.

Our family had the pleasure of meeting Snow White at the Akershus Banquet hall. She has the most adorable and lovely voice which would absolutely charm you and harper back to all the years you have watched the movie. Her sweet, pleasant demeanor as well as her graceful yet playful way about her makes you truly believe why this Princess (and the youngest Disney Princess) was Walt’s first and most special one.

Meeting Snow White will be a breeze, but do you worry about your small child meeting other characters? Check this out: Hey Disney Moms! What You Need to Know About Disney Character Meals with Small Children.
