The Disney Princess: Where in the Disney World Can You Meet Cinderella?

Ethereal, elegant, transformative and resilient, these are the characteristics that come to mind when we think of one of the most iconic Disney Princesses ever, Cinderella.  Even with the recent new popularity of Rapunzel and Tiana, as well as the everlasting appeal of Princesses Belle and Ariel, Cinderella seems to remain the leader of the princess pack. In almost any Disney merchandise and Princess branding, Cinderella still appears to be the character that all the others encircle. Well, who wouldn’t be surprised, since she has the most famous Castle erected on the planet, the colour of her iconic pale blue dress.

Wikipedia offers some history on the well-known Cinderella. She is a fictional character and the main protagonist from Disney’s twelfth animated film, released in 1950, titled Cinderella, and its two sequels. In the original film, she is voiced by the late Ilene Woods. The Disney version of the character was based on the French version of the tale by Charles Perrault, written in 1634 in Histoires ou Contes du Temps Passé. As done with other Disney films, Walt Disney hired actress Helene Stanley to act as the live-action reference for Cinderella, which she also did for Anita Radccliff in 101 Dalmatians and the Aurora character in Sleeping Beauty.

We always remember the beautiful song that Cinderella sings, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” which has come to represent the  many wishes Walt Disney had for his “World” to emerge in the future. If you’ve ever seen the fireworks show “Wishes” or walked out of the Magic Kingdom as a version of this song plays to end the day, you know how the song has become an icon in its own right. The song, as well as Cinderella’s glass slipper, are forever etched in the memories of millions of Disney fans around the world. Needless to say, Cinderella is probably one of the most important fictional Princesses in history!!

Upon meeting Cinderella, you do get a sense that she is the leader. There is a pleasant yet reserved sense about her that makes her even more regal. You can meet Cinderella at three character meals in Walt Disney World.

  • Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom, the most highly requested ADR, where you even receive a professional photo package with her
  • The Akershus Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion in the Epcot theme park
  • 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort for dinner

At Cinderella’s Royal Table, you have a chance to meet the most famous Princess and other fellow Princesses like Belle, Snow White and Ariel. While you will not always see the same Princesses, of course Cinderella is always at her castle.

You can also meet Cinderella and her friends at Akershus, where they take you on a wonderful parade around the hall.

And at 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella and her Prince will be doing a waltz for you before your very eyes, just don’t mind her Stepmother Lady Termain and her bickering step sisters, Drizella and Anastasia who are at the lavish buffet as well.

At all of the above dinners, you can receive an autograph from Cinderella, and take photos with her.  Keep in mind that Cinderella’s Royal Table is the only place where you receive the professional photo package with her. At Akershus Banquet hall, the photo package is with another Princess, usually Princess Belle.

Our family had the pleasure of being honored with Cinderella’s presence twice! At the Akershus Banquet hall, my daughter had the immense honour of being picked by Cinderella to lead the procession around the restaurant with her.  At 1900 Park Fare, we watched Prince Charming and Cinderella charm all the guests with their dance.

You may also see Cinderella, waving elegantly at the Main Street Electrical Parade. And sometimes, you can catch her strolling along her beautiful castle. She is absolutely lovely and is truly the epitome of what a traditional Princess is. I’m sure Duchess Kate Middleton took some secret pointers from her!

You can also go to Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom, formerly known as Town Square Exposition Hall, to the Princess Meet and Greet to see Cinderella, and several other princesses as well.
